ALLEN HART COLLINS, 48, of Collinsville, Illinois and formerly of Granite City, Illinois died on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born August 15, 1959 in Carbondale, Illinois a son of Warren D. and Mildred H. (Hart) Collins of Granite City. An attorney and member of the Illinois Bar Association for 22 years, he received his Doctorate of Law in 1985 and was owner of Collins Law Office in Collinsville. He attended St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in O’Fallon, Illinois and was active with the Curcillo. He was an avid sports enthusiast and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Billikens and Rams. He enjoyed fishing with his friends and will be remembered for the love of his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Curt and Charlene Collins of Florissant, Missouri and Patrick and Chris Collins of Collinsville; three nieces, Danielle, Jacklyn and Emily; three nephews, Eric, Phillip and Evan; other extended family and friends. Visitation: Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road, Glen Carbon, Illinois Sunday, January 13, 2008 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service: Irwin Chapel Monday, January 14, 2008 10:00 a.m. Rev. Carl Mesiti, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2008 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Murphysboro, Illinois. Memorial: Siteman Cancer Center or to Barnes-Jewish Hospital and may be accepted at the funeral home.
